Raised in the Haute-Garonne village Miremont, Fauré played amateur football and worked for a consumer electronics company before making his professional debut with Toulouse in 2002.[1] In his first season, he scored 20 goals (making him the Ligue 2 top scorer), and helped his club win the league and achieve promotion to Ligue 1.[2] The next season, despite not playing very often, he still managed to score 10 goals.
He is then transferred to Guingamp, where he hopes to get more playing time. Despite a good season (13 goals in 32 league games), he is transferred to FC Istres and, six months later, loaned to Le Mans where he is but Brazilian striker Grafite's substitute.
He is then purchased by Reims in the summer 2006.[3] He very quickly settles and his numerous goals make him a fans' favourite; however the club fails to achieve promotion to Ligue 1. In April 2008, he announces he will depart for Le Havre, recently promoted to Ligue 1. On December 19, 2008, Le Havre announce that Fauré will return to Reims for a duration of three and a half years.
